JANET PALMA, TALENTED, PROFESSIONAL, FEMALE VOICE OVER ACTOR

Since I started acting in high school theatre group, my mission has been to convey a message to the audience, whether emotionally or intellectually. As a voice over artist, my job is to tell a story without the body language of stage or screen, whether it is a 10 second commercial or a lengthy audiobook. The craft of voice acting and narration has fascinated me ever since I joined the Shoestring Radio Theatre, where we taped old-time radio dramas at NPR studios in San Francisco. In addition,  I have performed on stage with the Theatre of the Blue Rose in Berkeley and other local community theatre productions.

What is special about Janet Palma? Believability and range of expression. She brings her acting talent to every voice over story, with the ability to be four characters in one performance as she did with radio theatre. She draws on a varied background of singing, acting and practical work in theatre to shape her performances.

A big sense of inspiration came from her late cousin, Steve Schatzberg who was known for his talent and excellence in the field. Janet has honed her voice over work by applying the techniques she learned in special training to break down texts, ensuring the words resonate with your target audience. Your choice of narrator is critical to deliver the right message and engage the minds of customers and listeners. The ideal voice over reflects your brand or tells your story effortlessly. Teased by her classmates in high school for her New York accent, Janet quickly adopted a solid North American sound. However, she never lost her New York can-do attitude and sophistication. Janet can move from humorous to soulful to telling a children’s story from her teaching days.
